Eilif Peterssen

 

Eilif Peterssen (1852 - 1928) was a Norwegian painter. He is most commonly associated with his landscapes and portraits. In 1871 he left Oslo to study at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. Peterssen was influenced by the brownish palette of the Munich School painters.
