Museum of Fine Arts Budapest
The Museum of Fine Arts Budapest is a museum in Heroes’ Square, Budapest, Hungary. The Museum was built in eclectic neoclassical style on the basis of plans by Albert Schickedanz and Fülöp Herzog, on the northwestern side of Heroes’ Square, opposite to the Art Gallery, between 1900 and 1906. The museum‘s collection consists mostly of international works of art, including over 120 000 pieces from all periods of European art by the likes of Raffaello, El Greco, Toulouse-Lautrec, Chagall, Velázquez, Rembrandt, Tiepolo, Goya, Manet, Monet and Cézanne – to mention but a few.
